The agricultural industry holds one of the biggest industries in India. It has made a great contribution to our national income. Around two-thirds of our working population is directly involved in the agriculture sector. For them, it is a source of livelihood.
According to a report, approximately 66 percent of India’s working population is in the agriculture industry at present. On the other side, only 2 to 3 percent of working population in U.K. and U.S.A. are in this sector. In addition, France and Australia also have just 6 and 7 percent of the working population.

With a good amount of raw materials, the country is able to export various items such as sugar, tea, coffee, tobacco, spices, cashew-nuts, and more. Therefore, around 70 per cent of India’s export is the result generated from the agricultural sector.
